The Ryan NYP "Spriit of St louis" was bult by the Ryan Co of San Diego. The "NYP" indicates its historic New York-Paris flight. The "Spirit of St Louis' honors the St Louis businessmen who financed the transatlantic flight. Only one NYP was made. Today, it's at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum. |
