Ambassador Ornaments From 1979 through 1982 Hallmark produced a line of items called the Holiday House Collection. These items were sold through its subsidiary, Ambassador Cards and were available at stores such as Woolworths, Ben Franklin, supermarkets and drugstores.
The original test ornaments from 1979 were almost entirely repackaged ornaments from the regular Hallmark Keepsake line, while designs afterwards became exclusive to the Ambassador line. For the early repackaged ornaments the only way to determine whether an item is Hallmark or Ambassador is if the item is still boxed as the ornaments are identical.
